The dragons lurched upward. The game was absurdly simple, but the physics felt alive . If you tapped too fast, your dragon stalled. Too slow, it fell. The chat log in the corner filled with auto-generated trash talk: “Gold dragon laughs at your puny wings!” and “Red dragon ate a spicy pepper—boost engaged!”
Leo knew the drill. At exactly 2:47 PM, Mr. Henderson’s network monitoring software would sweep through the school’s Chromebooks like a digital janitor, locking down anything that smelled of fun. [Cool Math Games] would become a gray wall of shame. [Shell Shockers] would scramble into an error message. By 2:50, the only thing left would be the school’s dull library portal.
Then the clock hit 2:47.
“Three, two, one… GO ,” Kevin whispered.
Now, as the clock ticked toward 2:47, Leo waved over Maya and Kevin. “Forget Fortnite,” he whispered. “Look at this.”
But today was different. Today, Leo had a secret.
They were hooked. Within ninety seconds, a crowd had gathered around Leo’s desk. Someone from the back shouted, “Make it two players!” Another yelled, “Add power-ups!”
