Yes — the friend didn’t die in 2003. He just went off-grid. But now, in present day, he’s arrived at Woodstone… and died on the property. Trevor’s guilt gets a second chance, but at a devastating price.
The episode gives us our first extended Trevor flashback (2003). No club music or partying — just a tense dorm room scene. Trevor is young, arrogant, and desperately trying to impress his father. He pushes a bad investment on a trusting buddy, then bails when the stock tanks. It still has one unread message: a cryptic
Sam, being the living bridge between worlds, tracks down the friend’s sister using the phone’s contacts. She arranges a video call, and Trevor (invisible to her, audible to Sam) dictates a tearful apology.
