Go to takeout.google.com and sign into your Google account.
Go to the “Google Photos” tab. Check the box that says “Enable Google Photos” and choose a folder on your Mac where photos should be saved.
Drag this folder to your Mac’s local hard drive (e.g., Pictures folder). This will copy all photos down to your Mac. Method 3: Direct Download from Browser (Best for Small Batches) If you only need a few albums or recent photos, downloading directly from the Google Photos website is the fastest method.
Click “Deselect all” at the top, then scroll down and check only “Google Photos.”
Go to photos.google.com on your Mac’s browser.
Click on “All photo albums included” to choose specific albums or leave it set to all.
Click the Google Drive icon in your Mac’s menu bar → Settings (gear icon) → Preferences.
