The drone extended a magnetic grapple and latched onto the probe. The tether tightened, and slowly, the two objects rose together toward the surface. Elliot’s eyes widened

“Elliot, you see this?” she called, tapping a command into the console.

Mara stared. “And these… pulses, they’re not random. They’re… coordinates? Or a path?” Mara’s eyes widened
