I’m trying to recover a couple of older Cisco 2821 routers that appear to have corrupted Boot ROMs (stuck in ROMmon, rommon 1 > with no ability to load a valid IOS image).

I believe I need to reflash the (e.g., mcpx-bootrom.bin or similar). I’ve checked CCO (requires a valid service contract, which these EoL units don’t have) and the usual archive sites, but most links are dead. Choose the option that fits your audience
