Then the screens flickered. One by one, each PC displayed a blue lock icon. A message appeared in perfect Spanish:
His youngest customer, eight-year-old Leo, tugged his sleeve. “Señor Marcos, the squiggly line under my spelling is gone. And Word won't save my homework.”
He clicked it with a shaking hand.
The PCs rebooted one by one. The blue locks vanished. The red banner returned on every screen—but everything worked. Documents saved. Spellcheck squiggled.
