Original Tamil cast (Dulquer Salmaan as Adi, Nithya Menen as Tara) appears in the direct Tamil version with Hindi dubbing. Adi, a game designer from Mumbai, and Tara, an ambitious architect from Lucknow, meet in Mumbai. Both want to focus on their careers and are against traditional marriage. They decide to live in a live-in relationship under one condition: if either gets a career opportunity abroad, they will part ways without regret.
They rent a floor in the house of an elderly couple, Gauri and Bhavani. The old couple’s loving relationship, despite Bhavani suffering from Alzheimer’s, slowly changes Adi and Tara’s perspective on commitment. Eventually, Adi gets an offer to move to Paris, and Tara gets one to London. After witnessing the elderly couple’s devotion, they realize they cannot leave each other.
