The movie opens with a sweeping shot of the modern cityscape before zooming in on a troubled teenager, Percy Jackson (Logan Lerman), who's struggling in school and has a history of getting into fights. He's unaware of his true identity as the son of Poseidon, the Greek god of the sea.
