Final score: . Epilogue: New Legends Kaito’s name is restored. Tsubasa finally speaks to Ichi, revealing he was Kaito’s best friend and has been watching over him the whole time. Sakura decides to pursue pro football. Hyuga Jr. accepts that he doesn’t need to surpass his father — only himself.
The final match is against Eclipse’s ultimate weapon: — a cloned player with the combined data of Tsubasa, Natureza, and Michael (from Rising Sun ). Zero has no emotion, no fatigue, and can perform any super shot perfectly. Arc 5: The Mirage Finale Ichi learns the truth: Kaito Hino didn’t throw matches. He discovered Eclipse’s plot and refused to join them, so they framed him. Kaito died protecting the secret of the Mirage Volley — which can break through Zero’s perfect defense because it relies on human perception, not just physics.
Here’s a full original story concept for a mod, titled: “TSUBASA: LEGACY OF THE GOLDEN GENERATION” Story Premise: The mod takes place 10 years after the 2002 World Cup . Tsubasa Ozora, now 32, has retired from professional football due to a chronic knee injury. The new story follows Ichiro “Ichi” Hino — a 17-year-old Japanese-Brazilian prodigy discovered by Roberto Hongo in the favelas of São Paulo. Ichi moves to Japan to uncover the truth about his late father, a mysterious footballer once known as "The Ghost of the Field." Arc 1: The Awakening (Prologue) Ichi arrives at Nankatsu High School , now a training academy for elite youth. The current team captain is Kojiro Hyuga Jr. (son of Kojiro Hyuga and a Brazilian model) — arrogant, powerful, but struggling under the shadow of his father's legend. Ichi’s first match: a friendly against Toho Academy , led by Ken Wakashimazu’s son , Ren Wakashimazu , a genius goalkeeper who combines karate reflexes with modern sweeper-keeper tactics.
In the final 5 minutes of the Phoenix Cup final, Ichi performs the for the first time. The ball doesn’t just disappear — it leaves three mirage copies, each with different spin and speed. Zero cannot compute which is real.
Ichi’s hidden ability is revealed: — he can temporarily replicate any technique he’s seen once, but only at 70% power. This attracts the attention of Genzo Wakabayashi , now Germany’s national team coach, who senses something dangerous in Ichi’s style. Arc 2: The Ghost’s Journal Ichi finds his father’s journal hidden in an old locker at Nankatsu. Entries reveal that his father, Kaito Hino , was a teammate of Tsubasa’s in the 1990s but was erased from all records after a match-fixing scandal. Kaito was secretly training a forbidden technique: “The Mirage Volley” — a shot that bends light and sound, making it invisible to goalkeepers until the last millisecond.
